The general public won’t get the chance to meet Bao Bao — the National Zoo’s 4-month-old giant panda cub — until Jan. 18. But on Monday, a few lucky members of the media got a chance to make her acquaintance and snap some photos. Born on Aug. 23, Bao Bao is still developing some basic motor skills, which meant she took some tumbles during her media session. Her name means “precious” in Chinese — which, after you view these photos of her, totally makes sense.
